This past weekend, three people were killed in a deliberate attack on the Black community in Jacksonville, Florida. Fueled by racist, anti-Black ideology, this tragedy is the latest reminder of the dangerous rise in white supremacy in the United States. We mourn the lives lost and remain firm in our commitment to combat the hateful rhetoric and beliefs behind such targeted attacks.
Today, we remember the victims:
Angela Michelle Carr.
Anolt Joseph “AJ” Laguerre Jr.
Jerrald Gallion.
The Jacksonville tragedy is not an isolated incident—it is the continuation of a growing pattern of hate and white supremacy. We stand with the Black community in Jacksonville and across the U.S.—today, yesterday, always.
