Who we are.

By students, for students. Jewish on Campus empowers Jewish student leaders to combat antisemitism on college campuses.

Over the past decade, antisemitism has become a crisis on American college campuses. Jewish students confront antisemitism every day, giving us first-hand expertise on this challenge. Our voices must be heard.

Jewish on Campus (JOC) is the voice of Jewish students in America, created by Jewish students, for Jewish students. We are the first Jewish organization in America built and led by Gen Z, making a national impact by empowering the next generation of Jewish leaders to begin leading today.

What we do.

We envision a world in which young Jews aren’t intimidated into silence. And the fight against antisemitism isn’t ours alone.

JOC is an authentic Jewish civil rights organization. We are building a movement that brings Jewish students together, proactively educating our peers and serving as a voice to advocate on all levels—from local universities to Capitol Hill. Our work is breaking barriers, demanding that young Jewish leaders have a seat at the table. Antisemitism is worth fighting against—and we are leading that fight.

  • On campus, Jewish on Campus leaders educate their peers about antisemitism and advocate for safe and inclusive communities for Jewish students. Our chapters provide a platform for all students who care about their Jewish peers. We give a clear and distinct voice for young Jewish leaders to advocate against antisemitism on and off campus. Jewish on Campus equips our student leaders with media training, educational materials, and advocacy toolkits to take action on their campuses, in their local communities, and all the way up to Capitol Hill.

  • We believe in the power of student voices. Social media connects us across barriers, creating community and opportunities to educate. Our social media has grown over 140,000 followers across platforms. With it, we share student experiences, speak out against antisemitism, encourage Jewish pride, and educate using the authentic voice of Gen Z.

Through traditional media, we break outside the echo chamber, making antisemitism front-page news. We have been featured in dozens of major media outlets, including CNN, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times. We are thought leaders, serving as experts on the Jewish campus experience today.

  • Jewish on Campus gives students a seat at the table with change makers, bringing the voices of Jewish students to the world’s highest offices, including the White House, Congress, the Department of Education, the United Nations, and local government offices. Jewish on Campus played a vital role in the creation of the first-ever White House National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism. Our students use their experiences to motivate change.

  • Jewish students deserve a campus experience free from antisemitic harassment and intimidation. Together, we’re standing up for ourselves. Partnering with attorneys, we have filed several Title VI complaints with the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, taking action when Jewish students face discrimination on campus. Our Title VI complaint against the University of Vermont was the first complaint on antisemitism to be resolved by the Biden administration, referenced in the White House National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism as an example of successful student advocacy.

”Jewish on Campus stands as a model of civic engagement for the next generation of Americans, speaking up and fighting back in the face of injustice.”

— Congressman Ritchie Torres
